Yellow Fever Vaccination - To get African/American Visa

Yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for all persons including infants who have been traveling to several countries in Africa and America.


Those countries include:



Africa:
Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire), Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast (Cote D’Ivoire), Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan (South of 15 ° N), Togo, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia.


America:
Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Panama.


Yellow fever vaccination certificate is issued for a period of 10 years and certificate becomes valid after 10 days after the vaccination. A person arriving in India who is require to possess a Yellow Fever Certificate as per requirements will, in the absence of a valid Vaccination certificate be quarantined for a period of six days, without exception


The vaccination certificates can be provided only from the centers recognized by World Health Organisation (WHO). The certificate is issued by the vaccination centers in behalf of WHO.
